Biography
Howard Elmo Kelley was born on July 24, 1913 in Clarks, Louisiana, and died on March 30, 2004
in the Veteran's Hospital in Long Beach, California. He made lots of friends in the hospital
because they were all reading his books. He lived the last seven and one half years of his life
with his sister, Evelyn French, and her husband, Bill French. He never married, but he was very
much loved my his brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. Howard is the author of two books.
They can still be ordered from his sister.
This picture was taken when Howard was young and carefree before World War II.
He grew up fast, fighting in New Guinea.
